Deep into Norwegian forests inspired of Norwegian fairytales and stories about trolls and different supernatural beings living there.
This is an ongoing project. Started 2017.
Under the surface, always deeper layers. Travelling through veils. Exploring.
Nomad is a series about always moving. Inspired of my childhood, moving with my family into new places. Travelling. Observing, wondering, waiting. Always new horizons, new perspectives. It's about looking for and finding moments, tracks, mysteries, magic surprises, wonders, treasures, new insights and new friendships along the way. It's also about leaving and loss.
“Creativity is a nomadic process in that it entails the active displacement of dominant formations of identity, memory and identification.” Rosa Braidotti

"When there’s so much darkness closing in Just swerve around slowly You’ll find an opening."
– Ane Brun
This series is about the experience of meeting, and living through, darkness and the ongoing search for light and energy.
I chose to photograph under and through water because what water does, transforming and expanding human bodies and forms. The transformations express feelings dealing with darkness, despair and sorrow, but also love, hope and openings. Darkness can come in many forms, for me this series is connected to experiences when my husband got ME/CFS.
Darkness and light are constantly changing, yet always present in each other.
Selected images from the series "Beijing Metro".
The Beijing Metro opened in 1969 and is the oldest metro system in China. The metro has undergone rapid expansion since 2002, as only two lines were in service before then. Beijing Metro's extensive expansion plans call for 999 km (621 mi) of lines serving a projected 18.5 million trips every day by 2020.

Becomings. Children's worlds. Our worlds.
This is a selection from some of my pictures of children, rather than a series. As a lecturer I work with theories about children and their/our worlds which also influence my pictures. Movements, connections and complexity.
